Cyberpunk 2077 is an action-adventure RPG set in the metropolis of Night City, where power, luxury and body modifications are valued above all else. You play as V, a mercenary in search of a device that allows you to gain immortality.

 You can change your character's cyber implants, skills and play style as you explore an open world where your actions affect the story and everything around you.

Graphics, sound, animation

  • Killed characters no longer move.
  • Improved rendering of textures at a great distance.
  • Fixed visual bugs that occurred when fast moving and transitioning from one scene to another.
  • Improved the appearance of some elements underwater.
  • A number of improvements in the quality of parts in materials have been made.
  • Fixed V's incorrect posture while riding a motorcycle.
  • Improved light sources indoors and outdoors.
  • Improved ground quality on medium and minimum settings.
  • Now, when V breaks the mirror, a crack will remain on it.
  • Fixed an issue where pink particles would sometimes appear when zooming in on the camera.
  • Visually improved vegetation destruction.
  • Fixed a visual bug that sometimes caused sidewalks near the coast to be covered in rectangles.
  • When V gets into the car, the overexposed vegetation elements no longer appear.
  • Fixed an issue that sometimes caused destroyed items to disappear.
  • The bottom of Kerry's robe is now correctly attached to the body.

  • Fixed a number of speech and lip sync errors.
  • Fixed a number of bugs that caused characters to pose in a T-shaped pose.
  • The camera no longer inverts when V jumps while under an object.
  • Improved camera movement when V enters a vehicle.
  • Fixed a bug due to which characters could duplicate some items.
  • Killed characters no longer scream.
  • Jackie no longer yells "Nice shot!" when V kills an enemy in stealth mode.
  • The burning effect is no longer applied over and over again while the player is on fire.
  • Fixed character animation errors after skipping a ride.
  • Fixed twinkling of stars on the water surface in one of the scenes.
  • Terrain in the Wastes no longer disappears over long distances.
  • Adjusted lighting for city elements visible from a distance. Now they look more realistic.
  • Fixed a bug with black scopes on weapons during the chase during the mission  "Riders of the Storm" .
  • Improved the graphic quality of Black Barrier and Mikoshi.
  • Fixed a bug with incorrect weather conditions after loading a save or exiting the main menu.
  • Now the holographic elements on the clothes of some characters are displayed correctly.
  • There is no more jitter effect on frosted glass.
  • Fixed an issue where a white line would sometimes appear at the top of the screen when the player was in cyberspace.

Stability and performance

Changes are described here for all platforms, but most of them will affect legacy and lower performance platforms much more severely.

  • Improved stability and performance of the game engine and rendering engine. This will reduce the likelihood of a sudden exit from the game.
  • Optimized and improved memory usage algorithm. This will reduce the likelihood of crashes from the game.
  • A number of optimizations and improvements to shadows, shaders, physics and systems responsible for workpoints, object appearances, scenes, animations (including facial ones) and shading.
  • Fixed the algorithm by which memory handles UI icon tables. This will reduce the chance of game crashes due to lack of memory, especially during long sessions.
  • Improved UI stability and fixed some of the most common UI bugs causing game crashes.
  • Fixed a number of bugs that led to crashes from the game (including those related to the settings menu, loading saves and using a video card).
  • A number of interface performance improvements have been made.
  • Fixed an issue where quickly holding the buttons on the controller would dramatically decrease performance, resulting in item duplicates.
  • Fixed a bug due to which, on devices with low hard disk performance, the discovery marks on the map looked corrupted.
  • A number of other performance and stability improvements have been made.

PC Changes

  • Ray tracing is enabled on AMD graphics cards. The latest video card drivers are required.
  • More keyboard buttons are now available for binding actions.
  • Added the ability to bind keys so that you can open and close certain panels with the same button.
  • An item has been added to the control settings on the PC where you can disable the ability to dodge on the direction keys. In this case, to dodge, you will need to press the crouch button twice (default is C).
  • Now you can use the keyboard to go to the journal from the map.
  • Achievements are now available on the Epic Games Store.
  • Added mod folder for mod archives. Archives can be named anything. Now they are stored in the mod folder and can no longer be located in the patch folder.
  • Fixed a bug due to which it was impossible to load grenades after exiting the dialogue by pressing the Esc key.
  • Fixed a bug due to which some elements of the environment did not display correctly on screens with a resolution of 8K.
  • Fixed an issue that caused UI elements to disappear at 8K resolution.
  • Fixed a bug due to which, at 4K and 5K UltraWide resolutions, descriptions of abilities were not displayed in a certain area of ​​the menu.

All video cards were tested at maximum graphics quality by MSI Afterburner. The purpose of the test is to determine the performance of video cards from different manufacturers under the same conditions. Below is a video of the test segment :

 Our video cards were tested at resolutions of 1920x1080, 2560x1440, and 3840x2160 at the maximum game graphics quality settings.

You can also remove and add any positions of video cards, select any of our test processors from the list in the drop-down menu, comparing its performance with the given video card tests (the most productive solution is selected by default). At a resolution of  1920x1080,   an average FPS of 25 frames was shown by video cards of the Radeon RX 470 or GeForce GTX 1060 level. A  minimum FPS of at least 25 frames can be provided by video cards of the Radeon RX 580 or GeForce GTX 1070 level . A comfortable average FPS of 60 frames can be provided by RX 6900 XT solutions or GeForce RTX 2070s .

At a resolution  of 2560x1440, an average FPS of 25 frames was shown by video cards of the Radeon RX Vega 56 or GeForce GTX 1660s level. A minimum FPS of at least 25 frames can be provided by video cards of the level Radeon RX Vega 56 or GeForce RTX 2060. A comfortable average FPS of 60 frames can be provided by solutions RX 6900 XT or GeForce RTX 3070 .

VIDEO MEMORY CONSUMPTION

Testing of the video memory consumed by the game was carried out by the  MSI Afterburner program. The results on video cards from AMD and NVIDIA were taken as an indicator at resolutions of  1920x1080, 2560x1440 and 3840x2160. By default, the graph displays the most up-to-date solutions. Other graphics cards are added and removed from the chart at the reader's request.

The test was conducted on the base configuration of the Core i 9 10900K with 16 GB DDR4 4000 MGz pre-installed memory. All used RAM was taken as an indicator. The RAM test on the entire system was carried out on various video cards without running extraneous applications (browsers, etc.).
