Official description of the game
The battle continues – different forms of life will again meet in an irreconcilable struggle. In Aliens vs. Predator players will experience three exciting story campaigns, as well as unforgettable multiplayer battles in which each race will be able to use its own unique tactics. An insidious fate brought people together
Aliens and Predators on planet BG-386, where colonists discovered a mysterious ancient pyramid belonging to a race of ruthless hunters. The rightful owners of the structure sent a detachment to BG-386, which must at any cost prevent people from opening the securely sealed tomb. Players will find themselves in the midst of a brutal struggle, where some are trying to survive, others are trying to save the Universe, and others are simply hunting!
Features:
* Human. As an American paratrooper, visit a deadly planet where every step could be your last. An impressive arsenal of powerful weapons and explosives will help you survive in an unequal battle.
* Predator. Any enemy is a trophy that must be captured in a duel. When fighting as Predators, use the most high-tech weapons, as well as the ability of these creatures to perfectly camouflage and attack suddenly.
* Stranger. The jaws of these nightmarish creatures are worse than a trap, and their claws are sharper than any blade. Aliens are the deadliest creatures in the Universe. All other living beings for them are just food and cocoons for breeding. Hide in the darkness, slide along ceilings and walls unnoticed, tear, bite and burn your opponent with acid.
* Three story campaigns. Each race has its own history, its own truth and its own purpose. Look at one conflict from three different perspectives.
* Unique multiplayer battles. In online mode, creatures completely different from each other will come together in battle. Choose your way of survival!
Review: Playability
The developers have apparently already gotten into the habit of releasing demo versions of games in the form of online battles. With this, they are apparently trying to kill two birds with one stone: first, to lure players into the game by pitting them against each other in battles (a fight with a real opponent is much more exciting than with bots) and second, to gloss over all other aspects of the game (plot, design, etc.). ). And most importantly, they are trying to assure us that everything will be much cooler in the full version…
The publishers of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 almost succeeded; their beta really turned out to be at its best both in terms of gameplay and graphics. And what did Aliens vs. give us? Predator? To be honest, almost nothing – an ordinary deathmatch that takes place in cramped underground corridors.
The developers apparently decided not to spoil gamers too much, so No more than 8 people can play simultaneously on one map. We have three races to choose from: predators, humans and aliens. Each has its own advantages and disadvantages. It is less preferable to play for people, since they have more disadvantages: no vision, no speed, no strength – just a weapon, which is of very little use in dark corridors.
We invite you to check out part of the Aliens vs. multiplayer video. Predator DEMO, where you can see for yourself the quality of this product:

The only outlet for Aliens vs. Predator DEMO These are the killer chips of the aliens, with the help of which they deal with their opponents. But, alas, we have seen them online many, many times already… Well, what can I say, we have not identified the strengths of this product, except that fans of films and games in this series will be very happy about the appearance of the long-awaited sequel. Therefore, we are waiting for the release of the full version, where in open locations and with a meaningful plot we will be able to get a truly truthful opinion about Aliens Vs. Predator.
Review: Game Graphics
As with Battlefield: Bad Company 2, we never received DirectX 11. But if in the first one it seems to be there, but we unfortunately did not notice its effects, then here, before the start of the demo itself, the developers made it clear to us: it is not here and is expected only in the full version of the product.
It’s a shame, but what can you do, it’s the will of the developers. We were not very impressed with the corridor locations – everything is very closed and dark. They contain only a few boxes and objects, and there is no destructibility of the environment at all.
The character models are well detailed, but their movements leave much to be desired. All their movements look very unsightly and this evokes an association with puppet theater. It is unlikely that DirectX 11 with tasseling will be able to save the situation, but still we hope for the best…
Review: Resource-intensive game
For Aliens vs. Predator doesn’t require much from you – a Core 2 Duo 2,33 GHz or Athlon 64 x2 5600 processor and 2 gigabytes of RAM. Maybe for the full version everything will be different, but the demo turned out to be not very demanding on subsystem resources.
All video cards were tested at maximum graphics quality using Fraps. in the most resource-intensive place in the game.
Our video cards are tested generally in all different types of screens and you can evaluate how your video card behaves relative to other modern solutions in almost all different types of gaming screens. All video cards were tested with maximum quality graphics settings.
Testing at maximum quality settings 1024×768 DX9
Testing at maximum quality settings 1280×1024 DX9
Testing at maximum quality settings 1680×1050 DX9
Testing at maximum quality settings 1920×1080 DX9
The requirements for the video subsystem, as we were able to verify, turned out to be very democratic. Modern mid-level video accelerators will allow you to enjoy the game at maximum screen sizes with maximum graphics quality settings in Directx9 mode. We will only be able to find out how video cards will perform in DirectX11 mode with the release of the full version of the game. We also hope that we won’t get a ride like with Dirt 2, where the difference between DirectX9 and DirectX11 is almost zero. So let’s be patient and wait…
Conclusion: Aliens Vs. Predator DEMO doesn’t give us the slightest idea about the quality of the full game. Neither the plot nor the quality of graphics in DirectX11 mode is known to us. And we have already seen enough of the chips that different classes use to kill their opponents on the Internet, so they have already become familiar to us.
