Konami has announced the development of a remake for Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.

Konami has announced the development of a remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater called Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The project is an exact reworking of the original and is designed to introduce a new generation of players to the origin of Big Boss, as well as to please the loyal fans of the series.

According to a press release, the remastered version of Metal Gear Solid 3 will retain the original character voices, deep storyline, and intense survival gameplay in extreme environments, complete with improved graphics and sound.

While only a brief cinematic teaser was shown at the PlayStation Showcase 2023, Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection was also announced for release this fall on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The collection includes re-releases of Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, allowing players to enjoy classic games in their original form. The second and third parts will be presented in versions included in the previously released HD Collection.

As such, fans of the Metal Gear Solid series can look forward to the updated remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater and the remastered Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection to revisit the exciting world of this popular gaming franchise.
