Official description of the game
The Mortal Online game is the next step in the development of the genre; the developers will provide a completely new level of gameplay and graphics. This is an open realistic world. Battles are fought in real time. Your personal skills will have a huge impact on your success in battles. In Mortal Online, you can build your own house, found a guild, and even become the ruler of an entire nation.
The character can be chosen from a whole set of races and professions. You yourself determine the style of behavior and strategy for character development. It is allowed to master not only combat skills, but also various crafts, magic and trade. Judging by the description, it looks like Oblivion online. The idea is good, we just have to see the implementation.
Review: Playability
Yes, the developers are already greedy and want to pump money out of almost everything they can get their hands on. Mortal Online was no exception. Of course, the idea was not bad, but the implementation was shocking….
The gaming world, frankly speaking, is about 7-8 years behind the progress. Of course, it is open and all that, but its simplicity is simply depressing….. The game features four races to choose from, and each, in theory, has its own unique abilities. But when you start the game for any selected character, you get the same thing as a load – an ax and a gray rag for the body. The variety, as they say, is simply amazing.
No maps for you, no indications of what to do or where to go. You rely only on your inspiration. Plus, believing death, you turn into some kind of spirit and generally cease to have any idea what to do next….
In general, it is difficult to say who will like playing Mortal Online, and those who have tried the beta are unlikely to want to play the full version, which is also paid.
Review: Game Graphics
Here it is, our all-powerful unreal engine 3 – praise and honor to it. How many games did he have to endure on his fragile shoulders? But in Mortal Online they mocked him with interest. You are unlikely to see a more wretched picture based on it…
The characters, the environment, the terrain are complete squalor, so if you want to see the worst use of it in the gaming industry, then Mortal Online is the best example.
Having polished the engine so poorly, they put the game into testing and, in our opinion, the graphics are unlikely to improve at the time of release.
Review: Resource-intensive game
For Mortal Online you won’t need much – a Core 2 Duo 2,33 GHz or Athlon 64 x2 5600 processor and 2 gigabytes of RAM.
All video cards were tested at maximum graphics quality using Fraps. in the most resource-intensive place in the game. Tests were carried out on city streets. Outside the city, the average FPS will be much higher, but we are interested in precisely those gaming places where the load on video cards is maximum.
Our video cards are tested generally in all different types of screens and you can evaluate how your video card behaves relative to other modern solutions in almost all different types of gaming screens. All video cards were tested with maximum quality graphics settings.
Testing at maximum quality settings 1024×768
Testing at maximum quality settings 1280×1024
Testing at maximum quality settings 1680×1050
Testing at maximum quality settings 1920×1080
We haven’t seen such non-optimization for a long time. Only modern average players can play without any problems. And then on low separate buildings to the screen. And for high resolutions, sometimes even modern expensive solutions will not be enough… Nvidia video cards dominate, but one cannot count this as a plus on the side of the “greens”, since this game does not fit into modern gaming standards…
Conclusion: Mortal Online is something you simply don’t want to play. You can pass by without looking back. And the exorbitant load on the video system will generally force you to close your eyes to this miracle of the gaming industry.
