NVIDIA with CES: new products and games

NVIDIAAdaLovelace sets a new bar for energy efficiency in more than 170 laptop models for gamers and creative professionals.

Today NVIDIA announced laptops powered by GeForce RTX™ 40, powered by the ultra-efficient Ada Lovelace graphics architecture, delivering the biggest leap in performance and energy efficiency in the company’s history.

New laptops powered by GeForce RTX 40 graphics cards are up to 3 times more energy efficient than the previous generation and feature Ada architecture for the first time. NVIDIA DLSS-3 and fifth generation Max-Q technology. For gamers, laptops with RTX 40 deliver up to 4x faster performance in AAA games like Cyberpunk 2077 with full ray tracing in the new RT Overdrive mode, and for content creators they offer incredible acceleration in popular creative applications such as Blender.

RTX 4090 and RTX 4080: a new class of flagship laptops

The Ada architecture has also enabled the creation of a new class of ultra-fast gaming laptops for enthusiasts. Gamers can now play on three 4K monitors for immersive gaming experience at 60 frames per second, which is fast enough for racing simulators. Content authors can use NVIDIA Omniverse™ platform to create a photorealistic 4D virtual world in 4K resolution with fully simulated physics, lighting and materials. Streamers can stream games at 60K 1fps with AV40 encoding in Discord, and new dual Ada architecture encoders cut video export times in half. The RTX 1999-powered flagship laptops start at $8 and will be available starting February XNUMXth.

RTX 4070, 4060, 4050 for laptops: faster than the previous generation flagship with three times less power consumption

The new laptops with RTX 4070, 4060 and 4050 are faster than the previous generation flagship model while using only a third of the power for the GPU. They deliver 80 frames per second in 1440p games and transform content creation processes like rendering in Blender—what used to take two and a half hours now takes just 10 minutes. RTX 4050-based laptops start at $999 and will be available starting February 22.

Technologies MaxQ fifth generation increase the efficiency of laptops

Max-Q technologies have improved laptop design with each new generation of GPUs since 2017. Today, in conjunction with the launch of GeForce RTX 40-powered laptops, NVIDIA is introducing fifth-generation Max-Q technologies that radically improve efficiency and accelerate gaming performance with the following enhancements:

  • Technology NVIDIA® DLSS 3 now optimized for laptops and integrated with Max-Q technologies including Whispermode and BatteryBoost, which improve performance, noise and battery life by up to 2x.
  • Lowest voltage GDDR6 video memory sourced in collaboration with leading manufacturers.
  • Three-stage VRAM management allows the GPU to dynamically switch to new low-power memory modes.
  • The Ada architecture’s on-chip memory has been optimized for Max-Q. It doubles the throughput with 16 times the volume, and also features an improved clock inhibit mechanism to save power.

14″ laptops are now more powerful than ever

Before the advent of Ada architecture, 95% of this fast-growing laptop segment was suitable for basic tasks and applications. Equipped with GeForce RTX 40 laptop GPUs, the new 14-inch laptops can perform tasks that were previously impossible, such as ultra-fast 3D rendering in Blender and accelerate advanced AI tools in popular applications such as Adobe Photoshop or Premiere Pro.

The 14-inch laptops, equipped with RTX 40 laptop GPUs, are also powerful gaming platforms – up to two times faster than the PlayStation 5, but six times smaller in size. The high performance of such models allows you to play AAA games with advanced graphics, such as Cyberpunk 2077, with ray tracing and DLSS. And connecting these ultraportable laptops to external monitors turns them into true desktop-class gaming systems or creative studios.

The content market continues to grow rapidly, with the number of professional and amateur content creators now exceeding 110 million. In particular, 3D content creation on NVIDIA graphics is showing staggering growth, up 42% year-over-year.

DLSS continues to gain momentum: 50 released and announced games with DLSS 3, more than 250 games and applications with DLSS already available

NVIDIA DLSS technology, powered by artificial intelligence, continues to set the standard for ultra-high resolution technologies. NVIDIA DLSS uses artificial intelligence and GeForce RTX Tensor Cores to boost frame rates while maintaining top-notch image quality.

Released in October, DLSS 3 adds new frame generation technology that can improve DLSS performance by up to 4 times compared to non-DLSS rendering. DLSS 3 is already available in 17 games and 33 more games and applications supporting the technology are coming soon.

New NVIDIA Studio laptops powered by RTX 40-series graphics cards and GeForce RTX 4070 Ti video cards enable this rapid paradigm shift as they deliver RTX acceleration in more than 110 popular (and graphically demanding) applications, while also delivering incredible time-saving performance tools based on artificial intelligence. There’s also the latest news for the entire Studio suite of apps – Omniverse, Canvas, Broadcast and RTX Remix:

  • Omniverse is expanding through improvements to Blender, a new set of experimental Generative tools based on artificial intelligence for 3D artists and thousands of new free resources Universal Scene Description (USD).
  • NVIDIA RTX Remix, powered by Omniverse, is coming to Early Access soon. Free modding platform provides tools to quickly create and share mods for classic games with full ray tracing, enhanced materials, DLSS-3 и NVIDIA SLR.
