The territory of the Kingdom of France is completely immersed in terrible events, and almost all of humanity has perished. At the beginning, few people really thought about the problem, but it soon becomes known that this is the work of ... the plague. Crazy story captivates with consequences, but people can die altogether. You have to play the role of a young girl Amicia and her brother Hugo.

Your lives have been heavily mocked before, but the Inquisition believes that the time has come to destroy all witnesses who did not get sick at that moment, because they are cursed. You must immediately avoid punishment, try to survive in the struggle, and at the right time open the eyes of the whole society that it is the state that is the criminals who committed a ruthless attack and as a result ... destroyed millions of people.

The difference between the various settings is visible, but not so critical. Basically it is the draw distance, lighting, shadows and reflections.

A Plague Tale Innocence has very good graphics and is one of the best Unreal Engine 4 implementations in games. Animation, environment, details to trifles, staging of the plot and character models are done at a decent level, unlike other developers... The only negative is the static sky, but it's not critical at all.

It would seem that little was expected from the game, since in the demonstrations of the gameplay it looked like an indie craft with solving puzzles in the process of playing through it. But in reality, the storytelling is done superbly, at the level of top AAA games and does not let you go throughout the entire gameplay, constantly surprising you with new game perceptions.

Also, for a complete immersion in the gameplay, it is worth considering one nuance. The game takes place in Medieval France, and by default the game has English voice acting. So to get the most vivid perceptions from the gameplay, we strongly advise you to switch the voice acting language to French - immersion in the gameplay will be even more intense.

All video cards were tested at the maximum graphics quality by the Action! program. The purpose of the test is to determine how video cards from different manufacturers behave under the same conditions. Below is a video of the test segment :

At a resolution  of 1920x1080,   an average FPS of 25 frames was shown by video cards like the Radeon R8 380X or GeForce GTX 1050 Ti. A minimum FPS of at least 25 frames can be provided by video cards of the level Radeon R9 290 or GeForce GTX 960 . A comfortable average FPS of 60 frames can be provided by Radeon RX Vega 56 or GTX 1660 Ti solutions .

At a resolution of  2560x1440,  an average FPS of 25 frames was shown by video cards of the  Radeon RX 570 or GeForce GTX 970 level . A minimum FPS of at least 25 frames can be provided by video cards of the Radeon RX 580 or GeForce GTX 970 level . A comfortable average FPS of 60 frames can be provided by Radeon VII or GeForce RTX 2080  solutions .

At a resolution of  3840x2160,  an average FPS of 25 frames was shown by video cards of  the Radeon RX Vega 56 or GeForce RTX 2060 level . A minimum FPS of at least 25 frames can be provided by video cards of the Radeon RX Vega 64 or GeForce GTX 1080 level .

VIDEO MEMORY CONSUMPTION

Testing of the video memory consumed by the game was carried out by the  MSI Afterburner program. The results on video cards from AMD and NVIDIA at resolutions of  1920x1080 and 2560x1440 with various anti-aliasing settings were taken as the indicator. By default, the graph displays the most up-to-date solutions. Other graphics cards are added and removed from the chart at the reader's request.
