Overview: Playability

The Germans have recently matured and started presenting high-class projects to gamers. Divinity 2: Ego Draconis was no exception, and in the role-playing game genre this year it came close to such a mastodon as Dragon Age: Origins.

Of course, she is far from that cinematic gameplay, but still the game world itself, the plot, and especially the game soundtrack are very, very pleasing.

Of course, the leveling of the game character is not as fancy as in other games, but still there is everything basic and nothing superfluous. The game has one character and he can get absolutely any skills. You can pump the most optimal skill configurations for more efficient battles.

In many role-playing games there was such a component as reincarnation in various animals. The authors of Divinity 2: Ego Draconis have gone much further - you can transform into a dragon and unleash fiery fury on your enemies from a bird's eye view. But all this will be a little later, and to win this status, you will have to sweat a little...

Review: Game Graphics

As for the graphics, at first it does not make much impression. But it is worth going through training and the whole game world will bloom with wonderful tints and colors. Game locations are very bright and colorful. Although you are in an open area, or indoors, you will hardly be disappointed with the game picture.

Divinity 2: Ego Draconis has very good detail and rendering of game models and characters. You can clearly see every particle on the battle armor and notches on the swords. Local landscapes are also magnificent and well detailed.

But there is a small caveat - the water does not look very natural, and the tree models look a little stubby when viewed closely. But these are just minor graphical flaws in this game. Otherwise, everything is done at a very high level.

Review: Game resource intensive

For a comfortable game, you will need a dual-core processor of the Core 2 Duo 3 GHz level and 2 gigabytes of RAM .

table

All video cards were tested at maximum graphics quality by the Fraps program in the most resource-intensive place in the game, namely in the forest. In our opinion, it is in such places that the largest drawdown of frames on video cards is observed.

Divinity2_2009-12-09_18-32-02-73

We tested video cards of the lower price segment at a resolution of 1024x768, we tested video cards of the middle price range at a resolution of 1280x1024, and video cards of the upper price range were tested at a resolution of 1680x1050.

Testing at maximum Low End quality settings at a resolution of 1024x768

1024

All video cards of the lower ranges are generally not able to show an acceptable number of frames at the maximum visualization quality, even at such a low resolution.

Testing at maximum quality settings Midle End at a resolution of 1280x1024

1280

Here only the strongest were able to overcome the psychological and visual barrier of 25 frames.

Testing at maximum High End quality settings at a resolution of 1680x1050

1680

Even some not so cheap solutions are not able to provide a smooth gaming picture. And in order to get the maximum smoothness of the gameplay, stock up on the most advanced single-chip accelerators.

Conclusion: This product can safely be called one of the outstanding role-playing projects of the outgoing year. But in order to fully enjoy all the delights of this game, your video card will require maximum effort.
