| GAME ENGINE |
"The Invincible" is an adventure computer game developed by Polish independent studio Starward Industries and published by 11 bit studios. The game is an adaptation of Stanislaw Lem's science fiction novel Invincible. The game was released on November 6, 2023 for the Windows, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S platforms.
The development of "The Invincible" was carried out by the Polish independent company Starward Industries, founded in 2018. The studio's employees already had experience working in such well-known companies as CD Projekt RED and Techland, which created AAA games. The game is an adaptation of the science fiction novel "Invincible" by Polish writer Stanislaw Lem. The developers chose this novel for adaptation because they thought the book was “amazingly colorful” and looked like a ready-made movie script. However, the game is not an exact copy of the novel: despite the fact that the plot largely follows the book, the main cast of characters, including the protagonist, is original. The team used an atompunk aesthetic to create the game's art style, drawing inspiration from the works of Chris Foss, Chesley Bonestell, and Syd Mead, and also researched Soviet designs for spaceships, vehicles, and tools to suit the game's retrofuturistic style.
According to the developers, "The Invincible" is a sci-fi thriller that uses emotional suspense rather than outright horror. The project was inspired by the game "Firewatch", especially its approach to organizing gameplay through the interaction of the main character with other non-player characters. The game "Road 96" was also an important influence on the project, demonstrating that "there is room for more mature and philosophical storytelling." Project director Marek Markuszewski noted that the game's narrative is "slow" but "very intense", and the tone of the project is "bitter, but not without hope for a bright future."
Starward Industries officially unveiled the game in September 2020 and was scheduled for release in 2021. In June 2022, 11 bit studios, known for its games "This War of Mine" and "Frostpunk", announced that it would act as the publisher of the project and presented the first gameplay footage. The game was released for Windows, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on November 6, 2023.
The game engine Unreal Engine 4 was chosen to create the game. It was considered optimal for implementing various aspects of creating "The Invincible". This engine facilitated the integration of animations and faster workflow, and also allowed for a high degree of creative freedom in game development. The Unreal Engine material system allowed for the creation of the vast landscapes of planet Regis III and the atompunk machines, using full physics rendering to achieve a realistic appearance of various surfaces.

Our video cards were tested at resolutions of 1920x1080 , 2560x1440 and 3840x2160 with maximum graphics quality settings.

In the video card test, the default resolution is 1920x1080; other resolutions are added and removed manually. You can also remove and add any positions of video cards. The test is carried out on the most powerful CPU in this game and is scaled to other processors, taking into account their testing on NVIDIA and AMD video cards.

Testing of video memory consumed by the game was carried out by MSI Afterburner. The indicator was based on results on video cards from AMD and NVIDIA at resolutions of 1920x1080, 2560x1440 and 3840x2160 with various anti-aliasing settings. By default, the graph displays the most current solutions. Other video cards are added and removed from the chart at the request of the reader.

Testing takes place on the most powerful NVIDIA and AMD video cards and scales to low-end models.
When using NVIDIA video cards , Ryzen 3 3100 or Core i 3 10100 processors showed an acceptable rate of at least 25 frames per second , and solutions at the Ryzen 3 3300 or Core i 3 10100 level can provide an FPS rate of at least 60 frames per second .

The test was carried out on the basic configuration of Core i 9 13900K with 32 GB DDR5 6400 MHz pre-installed memory. All used RAM was taken as an indicator. The RAM test for the entire system was carried out on various video cards without launching third-party applications (browsers, etc.). In the graphics, you can add and remove any resolutions and video cards as desired.
