How to Unlock the Hidden “Outlaw” Graphics Preset in Star Wars: Outlaws on PC

Star Wars: Outlaws — is an action game that offers players immersion in a gripping world of criminal intrigue against the backdrop of the world-famous universe Star Wars. In addition to a rich storyline and varied missions, the game offers a wide range of graphics settings to enhance the visual experience. However, there is one feature you may have missed: the hidden “Outlaw” graphics preset, available only to PC users. In this article, we will tell you how to unlock this preset and what features it provides.

What is the “Outlaw” graphic preset?

Most players in Star Wars: Outlaws have already had a chance to appreciate the impressive visual quality of the game with the “Ultra” settings. However, for the most demanding gamers, the developers have hidden a special graphics mode that you can only unlock with certain actions. The “Outlaw” preset opens access to improved visual effects, similar to the hidden settings that were featured in other Ubisoft games, such as “Unobtanium” in Avatars: Frontiers of Pandora.

MSI Afterburner

All video cards were tested at maximum graphics quality using MSI Afterburner. The purpose of the test is to determine how video cards from different manufacturers behave under the same conditions. Below is a video of a test segment from the game:

Our video cards were tested at different screen sizes 1920×1080, 2560×1440 и 3840×2160 withgraphics quality settings Outlaw. When the + symbol is used in graphs FSR/DLSS, then this means that FSR/DLSS tested in mode Quality. NVIDIA graphics cards that do not support frame generation with DLSS-3.0, were tested in the mode FSR3.0.

8GB video cards did not take part in the test, as they do not have enough video memory…

In the video card test, the default resolution is 1920×1080; other resolutions are added and removed manually. You can also remove and add any positions of video cards. You can also select any of our test processors from the list in the drop-down menu, comparing its performance with the given video card tests (by default, the most productive solution is selected). The test is carried out on the most powerful CPU in this game and is scaled to other processors, taking into account their testing on NVIDIA and AMD video cards.

VIDEO MEMORY CONSUMPTION

after

Testing of video memory consumed by the game was carried out by the program MSI Afterburner. The indicator was based on the results on video cards from AMD and NVIDIA with separate screen sizes 1920×1080, 2560×1440 and 3840×2160 with various anti-aliasing settings. By default, the graph displays the most current solutions. Other video cards are added and removed from the schedule at the request of the reader.
