Torchlight is another variation on the Diablo theme. You choose one of three characters and go into the dungeon to meet numerous monsters and bosses. The interface is simple and clear.
Levels are generated randomly. Enemies and treasures are randomly placed on them. Heroes can “retire” by passing on certain skills to their followers. During breaks, players are encouraged to fish for virtual fish or build their own dungeons.
Review: Playability
After the release of this game, many will complain that another unsuccessful Diablo clone has come out again and that it is better to play more advanced RPGs with a richer plot and more advanced graphics. In fact, the game is an absolute replica of Diablo but with a little more individual gameplay and a little more advanced graphics. In everything else there is complete comparability: the interface, character leveling, and the combat system – all this is identical one to one.
However, this similarity cannot be attributed to the shortcomings of the game, not at all. The game very vividly conveys the spirit of the old Diablo, and while Blizzard will feed us breakfast about the imminent release of Diablo III, users have a unique chance to enjoy the Runic Games product, which in terms of quality and gameplay is not inferior to the founding monster of this type of RPG.
Review: Game Graphics
Well, we have reached the most compassionate part, so to speak, of game graphics: in it you will not be able to see either modern graphics technologies, or stunning texture detail, or mind-blowing physics effects. No, the developers left all this “overboard”. The graphics in the game are at the level of five or six years ago. Of course, I would also like to see a higher level of graphics, especially in a game of such a class as this.
But this disadvantage lies in its advantage over other projects in this series. Even users with built-in video accelerators of the G31 or nvidia Ge Force 6200 level will be able to play this wonderful project. Although the graphics do not tear the stars from the sky, its cartoon image is so good that intertwined with the gameplay does not allow you to tear yourself away from the game for several hours.
Review: Resource-intensive game
Of course, for a game of this level, this review may be considered unnecessary, but the rules are the rules and you cannot deviate from them. As for the realities, users with a C2D 1663 Mhz processor and 1.5 gigabytes of RAM will be able to enjoy the game picture to their fullest.
All video cards were tested at maximum graphics quality. We tested video cards from the lower price range at a resolution of 1024×768, video cards from the middle price range were tested at a resolution of 1280×1024, and video cards from the upper price range were tested at a resolution of 1680×1050. But this is all purely conditional; the game will run on all modern configurations.
Testing at maximum Low End quality settings at 1024×768 resolution
Testing at maximum quality settings Midle End at 1280×1024 resolution
Testing at maximum High End quality settings at 1680×1050 resolution
Final World : This game is quite capable of displacing such an old king of this type of RPG genre as Diablo 2 from its laurels, so its fans will find it extremely informative to get acquainted with this project…
