DEVELOPMENT HISTORY

Total War: PHARAOH DYNASTIES represents one of the most significant expansions for the series Total War, developed by Creative Assembly. Following the success of the main game, Total War: Pharaoh, released in October 2023, the developers realized that the audience was hungry for larger and deeper strategic elements related to the historical period of the Late Bronze Age. Inspired by player feedback and the historical significance of the era, they decided to create a full-fledged expansion that would not only expand the map and add new factions, but also introduce a new dynasty mechanic, giving players the opportunity to manage dynastic conflicts, intrigues, and succession of power.

Development Total War: PHARAOH DYNASTIES began shortly after the release of the main game. One of the studio’s goals was to add more strategic options related to the management of dynasties, which became one of the key themes of the expansion. Inspired by the history of ancient Egypt and its neighbors, the developers implemented a system of struggle for power between different factions, where each ruler could strengthen or lose his power through diplomatic marriages, military campaigns, or alliances with other dynasties. This added a new layer of strategy to the game, making the campaign even more exciting and multi-layered.

Main Campaign DYNASTY includes not only Egypt and the Hittite Empire, but also Mesopotamia, the Aegean Sea, and Anatolia. These regions were added to the game map with full historical accuracy. The developers carefully studied the culture, political structure, and military tactics of these civilizations so that each of them would look and feel authentic in the gameplay. Particular attention was paid to historical figures who played an important role in the political and military conflicts of the time. Campaign DYNASTY focuses on the struggle for power between the great dynasties, as well as the relationships between the different rulers, which makes the gameplay rich and exciting.

In addition, the developers paid special attention to detail to convey the atmosphere of the Late Bronze Age. Historical research conducted by the Creative Assembly team helped to recreate the political and cultural realities of that time, adding depth and historical accuracy to the game. Historical consultants were involved in the development, who helped the team make every element of the game as accurate and relevant to the era as possible.

GRAPHICS

Graphics in Total War: PHARAOH DYNASTIES was one of the key improvements over the main game. Creative Assembly not only improved the visuals and world detail, but also added dynamic elements such as weather conditions that can significantly affect the outcome of battles and campaigns. Using an updated graphics engine has improved the quality of textures, lighting, and fine detail, making every aspect of the game visually rich and realistic.

Environment in DYNASTY impresses with its diversity.
