Review: Playability
The developers from Reality Pump were supposed to release the game back in September of this year, but something didn’t work out for them – either game bugs, or competition from Arkania, but the game’s release was already threatened to be postponed to 2011… But after a rethink release dates and extraordinary opinions about Gothic 4, the game was finally released into the world. Now we will tell you briefly about the game.
Two Worlds 2 will open the next chapter in the history of Antaloor. The hero will have to investigate various mysteries and discover surprising twists and turns in his adventure. The perfect combination of story, atmosphere and technology promises an exciting new RPG. After the fall of Aziraal, the God of Fire, the dark Lord Gandohar has almost achieved his goal to upset the balance between the elements. This ruler had enormous power and took Antaloor into his own hands, and also built a huge fortress in Osvarot. However, there are still those who fight against the tyrant, hoping to shift the balance of power in their favor.
The struggle for the lands of Antaloor continues. Five years have passed since these dramatic events that brought the whole world to the brink of the abyss. Our hero, who is known from the adventures of the first game, is imprisoned in the dungeon of Gandohara Castle. His hopes of saving his sister disappeared, as did his attempts to free himself. However, when despair almost overwhelmed him, hope came from where he least expected. Orcs, a race that the hero always hated, free him. The hero descends to earth, defiled by evil. He sets out on a journey to shed light on Gandohar’s past, hoping to discover a weak point in the enemy’s defenses. If he fails to do this, then he will lose his sister forever. Two Worlds 2 is the perfect combination of classic and innovative RPG, atmosphere and technology.
A comprehensive quest system and an exciting main story will draw you into the world of Antaloor, which is very rich in additional stories. The rich gameplay is exciting and promises a lot of danger and excitement. Improved AI system, better balance, experienced writers, active combat system, innovative controls DEMONSTM Magic and PAPAKTM Alchemy System. An artistic attack and defense system is integrated into the game. Two Worlds 2 also offers exceptional weapon flexibility. Players can destroy elements from basic materials and create new unique items.
We invite you to evaluate part of the game walkthrough of Two Worlds 2, where you can see for yourself the quality of this product:
Players will be able to find here what Arcania did not give them, namely a “trackless” game passage, a living and more or less believable game world, a huge variety of equipment, combat techniques and spell combinations. With essentially no competition (Arcania seems to have already moved into a completely different genre), Two Worlds 2 is the best fantasy RPG this year and a must-read for all RPG fans.
Review: Game Graphics
Two Worlds 2 is quite attractive graphically. The GRACETM engine offers new technological capabilities such as an unlimited number of dynamic lights, 24-bit HDR post-processing and much more. The developers have made a number of optimizations to make their game stand out from its competitors. Reduced loading times, improved overall game performance, and ensured the game could be played with moderate hardware requirements. We will try to highlight the pros and cons of the graphics of the new game.
So, the advantages include an abundance of special effects, excellent detail of most models (although not all), good game mechanics, which are perfectly manifested in plot points, and excellent physics. The disadvantages include primitive animation, a short drawing distance, and blurry motion (although in reality it begins to appear when a speed of 200 km/h is reached or, at worst, after taking at least 0,5 liters “on the chest”). Particularly annoying is the excessive amount of bloom and HDR, when turned off we will see all the gaps in the graphics, skillfully hidden by the developers. The water, as in the case of Arkania, turned out to be quite flat…
But whatever one may say, even with all the glaring disadvantages, the picture turned out to be very decent. The developers managed to do an amazing job in terms of optimization, while “hiding all the loose ends in the water.” The lack of DirectX 11 was a little disappointing, although according to some statements it should have been in the game, but both Fraps and Msi Afterburner only showed the DirectX 9 version on their indicators…
Review: Resource-intensive game
For Two Worlds 2 you will need a Core 2 Duo 2,4 GHz processor or AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600 and 2 gigabytes of RAM. The game turned out to be a real modest one, and the most it will require from ordinary users is the presence of a dual-core processor. More cores for the game will simply be unnecessary.

All video cards were tested at maximum graphics quality by the Fraps program in the most resource-intensive part of the game. Less productive video cards are tested based on the Core 2 Quad Q9550 processor, and more productive ones are tested based on Core™ i7 processors.
Our video cards are tested generally in all different screen sizes, and you can evaluate how your video card behaves relative to other modern solutions in almost all different gaming screen sizes. It has already become a habit that when sales start in games, there are bugs and many users have encountered some problems in the form of crashes or graphical lags, so we are looking forward to the release of the next patch… In the meantime, we are updating all system drivers to the latest versions and crossing fingers for good luck.
Testing at maximum quality settings 1024×768
As we wrote earlier, the game is quite loyal to the components in the system and at a resolution of 1024×768 it will require from its fans video cards of the Radeon HD 5570 or GeForce 8800 GS level and higher. To ensure a comfortable game with a threshold of 25 FPS, you will need video cards of the Radeon HD 3870 or 8800 GS level.
Testing at maximum quality settings 1280×1024
When the resolution increases to 1280×1024, the game’s requirements increase slightly and a Radeon HD 5670 or GeForce 8800 GS becomes the minimum required. For a comfortable game, you will need a Radeon HD 4830 or GeForce GT 240 or higher.
Testing at maximum quality settings 1680×1050
At a resolution of 1680×1050, the minimum level is fixed on video cards at the level of Radeon HD 3870 or GeForce 9600 GT and higher. The optimal choice for this level of resolution is video cards Radeon HD 4750 or GeForce 9800 GT.
Testing at maximum quality settings 1920×1080
With the most common HD resolution of 1920×1080, video cards of the level Radeon HD 4830 or GeForce GT 240 will be required. The most comfortable game will be provided by video cards of the level Radeon HD 5750 or GeForce 8800 GTS 512 MB. The most optimal video cards for purchase today, taking into account comfortable gaming, are the Radeon HD 5750 or GeForce GTS 250.
Final World: Two Worlds 2 is an excellent fantasy RPG game that will delight not only its fans, but also people who were disappointed in the Gothic series of games. And the quite beautiful visual component and minimal PC requirements to ensure maximum visualization settings will appeal to many players.
