We continue our series of preview articles, in which we will try to compare the system requirements of the most anticipated games of Summer-Autumn 2013. In this article, we have selected the most promising games that will be of most interest to the PC community in the second half of the year.
In addition to general information about the game, we tried to predict what system requirements certain projects will have for modern PCs. These requirements are not approximate to reality and are based on our observation of the gaming market and our many years of experience. We invite all our readers to read this article and join the discussion based on our considerations. To some extent, this review is a preview of the system requirements for upcoming games.

The Bureau XCOM Declassified is a computer game, a third-person shooter, which belongs to the X-COM series of games and is developed by 2K Marin. This game is the first game in the series in the third-person shooter genre, and according to the developers, it is a new look at the events taking place in the fictional world of the game.
The Bureau XCOM Declassified is based on the Unreal Engine 3, moreover, the game is released on current generation consoles, so in our opinion the system requirements will be quite flexible.

Saints Row 4 August 20 |
Saints Row IV is a multi-platform action-adventure game with open-world elements, a sequel to Saints Row: The Third and developed by Volition, the company that created the first three games. As in previous installments of the series, the player controls the leader of the 3rd Street Saints, who becomes the President of the United States of America. The game takes place in the fictional city of Steelport from Saints Row: The Third, transformed into a retro-futuristic dystopia with elements of Washington DC.
System requirements will be comparable to the third part, so to fully operate the game you will need a quad-core processor and a video card with 1 GB of memory. Unfortunately, for those with older video cards, Saints Row 4 will run exclusively on DirectX 11.

Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist August 23 |
Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist is a stealth action video game, the sixth installment in the Splinter Cell series. Splinter Cell: Blacklist is being developed by Ubisoft Toronto. The game will take place six months after the end of the events in Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Conviction. The game is scheduled to be released on August 20, 2013 in North America and August 22 in Europe.
The game promises to support advanced DirectX 11 features, tessellation, TXAA anti-aliasing mode and an improved HBAO lighting method. To attract more attention to its new GeForce GTX 700 series video cards, as well as the performance solutions GeForce GTX 660/660 Ti/670/680, NVIDIA will offer Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Blacklist game bundled with graphics adapters.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow August 27 |
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow is a slasher video game developed by MercurySteam and published by Konami, a reboot of the game series. Hideo Kojima, producer of the Metal Gear series, was also involved in development. The game was released on October 7, 2010 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. On August 27, 2013, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Ultimate Edition will be released on PC. The game takes place in a fantasy version of medieval Europe.
Features of the PC version of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Ultimate Edition include improved HD graphics and 1080p resolution, stable 60 FPS on recommended configurations, support for Steam achievements and cloud saves, and support for AMD Eyefinity technology.

Lost Planet 3 August 28 |
Lost Planet 3 is a computer game, third-person shooter. Developed by Spark Unlimited and published by Capcom. The game will be released on the PlayStation 3, Microsoft Windows and Xbox 360 platforms. The game is a prequel to Lost Planet: Extreme Condition and Lost Planet 2, the action will take place on the planet EDNIII. The plot of the game will be more similar to the events of Lost Planet: Extreme Condition. Unlike the first two games that Capcom made, this one will be made by Spark Unlimited, although Kenji Oguro remains the head writer and director of the project.
Lost Planet 3 will support DirectX 10/11 modes. Older video cards, as well as Windows XP, are not supported by the game.

Total War: Rome 2 September 3 |
Total War: Rome II is a computer strategy game developed by Creative Assembly. Officially announced on July 4, 2012. Batman: Arkham Origins October 25 |
“Batman: Arkham Origins” is a cross-platform computer game in the action-adventure, stealth action and beat ’em up genres, the third in the Batman: Arkham series of games, developed by the Canadian company Warner Bros. Batman: Arkham Origins has a similar graphical component to Batman: Arkham City. The game will support advanced DirectX 11 features, tessellation, TXAA anti-aliasing mode, as well as NVIDIA PhysX technology.

Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag October 29 |
“Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag” is the sixth multiplatform computer game in the action-adventure genre, developed by Ubisoft Montreal for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U, PC, Playstation 4, Xbox One platforms. The game is not a continuation of the story of Desmond from Assassin’s Creed III, it introduces a new historical era and a new main character.
The protagonist of the game will be Edward Kenway, the father of Haytham Kenway and the grandfather of Connor from Assassin’s Creed III; The new game will take place during the Golden Age of Piracy, in the Caribbean on several islands, including Jamaica, Cuba and the Bahamas. The project will be released under the slogan: “New era. New assassin. New rules”.

“Battlefield 4” is a cross-platform first-person shooter computer game, the eleventh in the Battlefield series of games, which is being developed by DICE and will be published by Electronic Arts for the PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms. Battlefield 4 will take place 6 years after its predecessor in 2020. We have to play the role of Sergeant Daniel Reker, a fighter in the elite Tombstone unit.

Need for Speed: Rivals is a cross-platform computer game in the driving simulator genre, the twentieth in the Need for Speed game series, developed by Ghost Games, Criterion Games and published by Electronic Arts for the PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms. The game was announced on May 23, 2013. Need for Speed: Rivals is the spiritual successor to Need for Speed: High Stakes.
