AMD's New Challenger to NVIDIA: Radeon RX 7800 XT Launches with Exciting Game Bundle

Eager gamers are in for a treat as AMD drops its latest addition, the Radeon RX 7800 XT. This fresh-off-the-production-line GPU is priced competitively at $499 and is all set to rival NVIDIA's RTX 4070. Bundled with this exciting release is a copy of the much-anticipated game, Starfield, which also hits the shelves on 6th September 2023.

The Radeon RX 7800 XT showcases the Navi 32 GPU, a part of AMD's RDNA 3 series. With an impressive 60 Compute Units, 3840 stream processors, and a 2430 Hz boost clock, the card promises up to 37 TFLOPs of FP32 Compute prowess. Additionally, AMD boasts of 60 RT Accelerator cores, 120 AI accelerator units, and 96 ROPs. This power comes with a TBP of 263W.

But where does it stand against NVIDIA's RTX 4070? According to AMD's tests, the RX 7800 XT outperforms its rival by up to 23% in standard rasterization, although it takes a slight hit when ray tracing comes into play. For those focused on power efficiency and next-gen features like DLSS 3.5, NVIDIA may still hold an edge. Regardless, with 16 GB GDDR6 memory and the inclusion of 64 MB of Infinity Cache, AMD ensures a strong contender in the high-end graphics card market.
