The Chinese market has witnessed the debut of one of the most expensive graphics cards to date - the ASUS GeForce RTX 4090 ROG MATRIX Platinum. Priced at 59,999 RMB, approximately equivalent to $8230, the cost significantly exceeds the expected pricing for such devices.

This price hike is attributed to the unique market conditions in China and the increased demand in the graphics card market. Despite the official US MSRP of $3199, retailers in China have substantially marked up the price, capitalizing on the current market situation.
