Intel's Firmware Update Enhances Performance of the Arc A380 GPU
Intel has recently stirred discussions among tech enthusiasts with a firmware update for their Arc A380 graphics card. Priced starting at a humble $99, this card stands out as a go-to option for entry-level PCs, boasting AV1 support and the latest XeSS features. However, this update isn't just about bug fixes or minor stability improvements.
Reports suggest that this firmware revision has amplified the clock speed of the ASRock variant of the Arc A380 from an initial 2000 MHz to an impressive 2150 MHz, marking a 7.5% increase. Such a surge in speed has consequentially boosted the graphics card's overall performance, especially regarding pixel and texture processing capacities.
This raises questions about whether such enhancements extend to other models in the Arc lineup or are they solely dedicated to the A380. As of now, Intel hasn't provided any official remarks on the matter.
