MSI Launches High-Speed Spatium M580 Frozr SSD with Groundbreaking Speeds

MSI has launched the Spatium M580 Frozr Gen5 SSD, achieving record-breaking read speeds of up to 14.6 GB/s, first introduced at CES 2024. Available in both air and liquid-cooled variants, with the latter expected later this year, it boasts capacities up to 4 TB.

Featuring the PHISON E26 PCIe Gen5 controller and 232-layer 3D NAND flash, the M580 Frozr achieves write speeds up to 12.7 GB/s. It benefits from DRAM and SLC caches, reducing data access latency, and is enhanced with LPDC ECC and E2E Data Protection for data integrity.

The SSD is equipped with a passive tower heatsink cooler for optimal thermal performance, reducing temperatures by up to 20°C. MSI also offers advanced software through MSI Center for SSD status monitoring and data backup, ensuring both performance and reliability.
