NVIDIA's RTX 5000 ADA GPU Hits Retail in China at a High Price

NVIDIA's RTX 5000 ADA GPU, part of the workstation GPUs unveiled at SIGGRAPH in August 2023, has finally become available for standalone purchase after initially being exclusive to OEM system configurations. However, its retail price in China has raised eyebrows, as it's listed on JD.com for a staggering 35,999 RMB, equivalent to approximately USD $4,932.

GBT RTX 5000 ADA

The NVIDIA RTX ADA lineup includes three different graphics cards: RTX 5000, RTX 4500, and RTX 4000, all promising significant improvements over their predecessors.

In terms of specifications, the RTX 5000 ADA boasts the AD102 GPU core with 12,800 cores and 500 Tensor cores, offering up to 65.3 TFLOPs of single-precision and 1044 TFLOPs of tensor performance. It also features 32 GB of GDDR6 memory and has a 250W TDP.

It's worth noting that the RTX 5000 ADA delivers impressive performance gains compared to its previous "RTX A5500" counterpart. With support for NVIDIA's AI Enterprise 4.0 suite, these workstation GPUs offer substantial performance enhancements, making them a top choice. However, such power comes at a high cost, with the RTX 5000 ADA's price tag on JD.com being nearly half that of the higher-end "RTX 6000 ADA."
