NVIDIA Updates RTX ADA Laptop GPU Lineup with New Professional Cards

At MWC 2024, NVIDIA announced the expansion of its RTX ADA series with two new professional laptop graphics cards. The latest additions, based on the AD107 GPU, feature up to 2560 CUDA cores. The RTX A1000 ADA aligns with the core count of the RTX A2000 at 2560 cores, while the RTX 500 ADA is configured with 2048 cores.

NVIDIA RTX ADA MOBILE

This expansion brings the total RTX ADA laptop GPUs for workstations to seven SKUs, including options based on AD103, AD104, AD106, and the newly introduced AD107. Various memory configurations are available, ranging from 4GB to 16GB to meet different user needs and preferences.

The RTX 1000 ADA has been updated to include 6GB VRAM via a 96-bit bus, representing a shift from the previous generation's Ampere in terms of memory bus width while increasing memory capacity. Initially, both Ampere models, the RTX 1000 and 500, came with 2048 cores and 4GB configurations, but NVIDIA later introduced a 6GB version of the RTX 1000. The RTX 1000 ADA acts as a refresh of this Ampere model with a new architecture while maintaining nearly identical configurations.

Furthermore, NVIDIA is increasing the Total Graphics Power (TGP) for individual SKUs, with the RTX 500 series moving from 20-60W to 35-60W, and the RTX 1000 series from 35-95W to 35-140W. Notably, only the RTX 1000 supports Dynamic Boost, which offers an additional 15W, already included in the specified power ranges.
