First Navi 32 Desktop GPUs by AMD Expected to Debut in September 2023
Rumors of AMD's release of the first Navi 32 desktop GPUs have been confirmed to take place in September 2023. The news, expected to be officially announced at Gamescom 2023 running from August 23rd to 27th, follows insider Moore's Law is Dead revelations.
The insider provided the GPUs’ first specifications, outlining the differences between the flagship model with a full Navi 32 chip and the lower-level cut-down Navi 32 variant. The flagship Navi 32 will offer 60 compute units, 16GB memory, a 256-bit bus, and a total board power (TBP) of 260W. The cut-down Navi 32 will have between 48 and 54 compute units, 12GB memory, a 192-bit bus, and a TBP of 245W. Both models will offer a memory speed of 19.5 Gbps.
Speculation suggests the upcoming GPUs could be the RX 7800 and RX 7700. AMD has reportedly completed development of the new GPU and its drivers, gearing up for their launch. Keep an eye on AMD's announcements at Gamescom 2023 for confirmation.
