Intel Lunar Lake CPUs to Feature Enhanced Audio with SoundWire ACE2.x Support

The most recent Linux patch indicates Intel's upcoming Lunar Lake processors will include support for the SoundWire ACE2.x protocol, reports Phoronix. The SoundWire communication protocol, developed by the MIPI Alliance, enables efficient audio data transmission between components within the automotive and mobile industries.

The Intel Lunar Lake CPU lineup, set for release by 2025, will feature a blend of Intel 18A and external process technologies, striving to lead in terms of performance per watt. This upcoming lineup will compete with AMD's Zen 6 architecture.
