Corsair introduces its DDR5

Corsair Vengeance DDR5 1536x942

Corsair first introduced its Vengeance DDR5 memory. The company hasn't revealed any technical specifications for the new series, such as frequencies or overclocking capabilities, but that information should become available as we get closer to the launch of Intel Alder Lake-S, the first desktop series to support this new memory standard.

According to JEDEC specs, DDR5 memory starts at 4800MT/s and 1.1V. Overclocking potential will depend on many factors such as binning or Integrated Power Management Circuit (PMIC).

The company currently offers as many as three Vengeance memory options: RT, RS, and PRO SL.

AMD Radeon RX 6600 final specs and official performance leaked

AMD RX6600 Hero 1600x299

Final specs and performance figures for the next SKU in the AMD RDNA2 series have been released online.

The Radeon RX 6600 without XT will have 1,792 stream processors, 256 cores less than the XT variant. At launch, this card will be the slowest AMD RDNA2 GPU variant for desktop gaming.

The new model will require less energy. The official TBP (Typical Board Power) is 132W, which is 28W less than the RX 6600 XT.

The official clock speeds are 2044 MHz for gaming and 2491 MHz for overclocking, which may explain how AMD was able to reduce the power consumption of this Navi 23 model, the base frequency was reduced by 315 MHz.

AMD's official specs list 8GB of GDDR6 memory, but with an "up to" mark that suggests AIB may offer 4GB models at some point.

The performance of the AMD Radeon RX 6600 card in relation to the GeForce RTX 3060 chip has also become known. The information is taken from the manufacturer's documentation, so for final confirmation it is worth waiting for the publication of independent reviews. The Radeon RX 6600 will reach a level similar to the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 card. Sometimes a few percent in favor of AMD, sometimes in favor of NVIDIA.

Samsung Exynos 2200 with ray tracing support

AMD RDNA2 Exynos hero 1 e1624291575365 1200x312

The upcoming chip for the 2022 Samsung Galaxy S and A series will feature ray tracing acceleration.

AMD and Samsung have announced a partnership to bring Radeon graphics to an ultra mobile form factor. The next generation Samsung Exynos will be equipped with a graphics subsystem based on the RDNA2 architecture.

The official Samsung Exynos account on Weibo (a Chinese media platform) has confirmed that the next generation Exynos will support ray tracing technology.

The RDNA2 GPU in the Exynos 2200 is rumored to feature 384 stream processors, meaning 6 compute units and assuming the design is similar to desktop discrete GPUs and this mobile implementation of the 6 beam accelerator architecture.

The Exynos 2200, codenamed "Pamir", is expected to be an 8-core chip with 1 high-performance core, 3 medium-sized cores, and 4 high-performance cores. The integrated RDNA2 GPU is reportedly codenamed Voyager.

ASUS and Noctua announce GeForce RTX 3070 Noctua Edition

Noctua RTX3070

The Asus GeForce RTX 3070 Noctua Edition has finally been officially unveiled.

Noctua and Asus have finally officially unveiled the GeForce RTX 3070 Noctua Edition in two versions - the standard model with clock speeds up to 1755MHz and the OC model with clock speeds up to 1845MHz.

ASUS GeForce RTX 3070 Noctua Edition is the world's first graphics card to use Noctua fans and a custom heatsink jointly developed by Noctua. With up to 15 dB(A) noise reduction, this advanced cooling system makes the Noctua Edition the quietest card in its class.

According to Asus, the fans spin at no more than 2,000 rpm with a noise level of just 33.3 dB(A), while a comparison graphics card not listed by Asus reaches 42.4 dB(A) under load.

NVIDIA is preparing new graphics cards for January launch

RTX3090 SUPER Hero 1600x510

According to a tweet from user "hongxing2020", NVIDIA will indeed release the RTX 3090 SUPER early next year.

The tweet claims that NVIDIA is indeed launching the RTX 3090 SUPER, an updated flagship model with a full GA102 GPU, and the RTX 2060 12GB, an updated mid-range Turing GPU with twice the memory.

The report claims that NVIDIA will be updating the RTX 3070 Ti with 16GB memory, something we haven't heard about yet.

NVIDIA RX3090S RTX3070Ti16GB RTX206012GB Rumor

The entire RTX 30 SUPER desktop lineup was recently revealed by Twitter user “ @kopite7kimi ”, who is expecting four SUPER modifications: RTX 3090 SUPER, RTX 3080 SUPER, RTX 3070 SUPER and RTX 3060 SUPER. The arrival of the SUPER series with updated vanilla/Ti models suggests that NVIDIA is saying goodbye to sub-8GB memory options once and for all. This is in response to the release of AMD's Radeon RX 6600 XT and soon the RX 6600 with 8GB of memory. So far, both companies have avoided releasing video cards with less memory.

Lenovo is working on the Legion Play handheld gaming console with Android

Legion Play

Lenovo may be developing an Android-based handheld gaming device called the Lenovo Legion Play.

Renders of an unknown Legion Play device were found on the Lenovo website. This is a portable game console, the characteristics of which, alas, are not on the site - only high-quality renderings.

At the moment, we can see that the images show a portable gaming device with a screen surrounded by game controllers on the left and right sides. There are two analog sticks, D-Pad, X, Y, A and B buttons.

The bottom of the Legion Play has a USB-C port, a headset jack, and a built-in microphone that you can presumably use for voice chat even if you don't have a headset.

Legion Play will work under the Android operating system. On the screen you can see icons for accessing the Google Play store, YouTube services, Google Drive, etc.

True, it is not yet clear whether Lenovo will really bring its idea to life, or whether the console will remain on paper.
