Publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment
Death Stranding is an open-world third-person action-adventure game developed by independent game studio Kojima Productions. here you will find adventure, a sea of battles, survival, and an intriguing non-linear plot ...
The game takes place in the near apocalyptic future, in which the planet was almost destroyed by some kind of cataclysm. Here the world is literally split into pieces, cities now live in an isolated state behind high walls and belong only to themselves, ghostly monsters are everywhere, destroying everything in their path, and the planet is also subjected to the rains of time, drops of which make everything age very quickly.
GAME ENGINE |
The game is based on Decima, a game engine developed by Guerrilla Games, released on November 15, 2013. It houses the tools and features for building AI, physics, logic, and worlds in development on it, as well as 4K and HDR compatibility. It is best known for its use in Killzone: Shadow Fall, Until Dawn, RIGS: Mechanized Combat League and Horizon Zero Dawn, as well as the upcoming game Death Stranding.
On December 3, 2016, during the PlayStation Experience, Hideo Kojima announced his studio's partnership with Guerrilla Games. Under the terms of the partnership, Kojima Productions received the engine to develop their Death Stranding project without any contractual obligations.
At the same time, the name of the engine was announced - "Decima". The name was chosen from an island on the Japanese coast of Dejima, where a Dutch trading post was located in the 17th century. For a long time, the Netherlands was the only country allowed to trade with Japan. In this way, "Decima" reflects the collaboration between the Japanese and Dutch studios.

HDR OFF/ON COMPARISON |
In this section, we have presented comparisons of picture quality with HDR on and off through still photography.
