Video cards of the Radeon HD 2400 Pro and Radeon HD 2400 XT series were positioned as the most affordable solutions with DirectX 10 support
The cards had a built-in audio chip, which made it possible to fully utilize the capabilities of the HDMI connector without additional connections. The RV610 core, containing 180M transistors, contains 40 stream processors with a unified shader architecture, and the key difference between the Pro and XT versions is the core clock speeds of 525MHz and 700MHz, respectively. Typical memory support for such cards is 128 MB or 256 MB 64-bit GDDR2. The clock speeds of the Pro version are at 400 MHz, the XT is at 800 MHz, and the lower price threshold was even lower.
