We tested Manor Lords at the highest graphics settings, on video cards from the GEFORCE RTX and RADEON RX series. Also, during the tests we conducted, we assessed the performance and quality of the graphic display of the game itself.

GAME ENGINE

History of the development of the game Manor Lords

Manor Lords is a strategy game combining elements of city building and military tactics, developed by independent developer Gregor Žakelj. The project began development as an ambitious solo endeavor, designed to combine realistic city planning with complex military strategy in a medieval setting.

Development of Manor Lords began several years ago when Gregor, inspired by classic strategy and city building games, decided to create something unique with his own vision. The desire to make the game realistic and detailed required extensive research into historical sources on the architecture, economics and military tactics of medieval Europe.

The project became noticeable after the publication of the first trailer, which showed a detailed world and complex mechanics. From that moment on, Manor Lords received the attention and support of a wide audience. Gregor actively communicates with the community through social networks and forums, collecting feedback and suggestions, which allows him to improve the game, making it more attractive to players.

Despite being developed by an independent developer, the game exhibits a high level of polish and attention to detail that is typically found in larger studios. This is achieved thanks to Gregor's passion and creativity in creating the game, as well as the use of modern technologies and development tools.

Graphics in Manor Lords

The graphics in Manor Lords were designed with an emphasis on realism and detail to accurately convey the atmosphere and aesthetics of medieval Europe. The game uses high quality textures and complex models to create an impressive visual experience.

A lot of research was done to create a realistic look for all elements of the game, from character clothing to building architecture. This made it possible to recreate exact copies of medieval buildings, fortifications and village huts. DIFFERENT QUALITY MODES

In-game graphics settings at minimum reduce the level of detail and disable various graphics functions to improve performance, while settings at maximum enable all possible effects, providing the highest quality and detail of the image.

All video cards were tested at maximum graphics quality using MSI Afterburner. The purpose of the test is to determine how video cards from different manufacturers behave under the same conditions. Below is a video of the test segment:

In the video card test, the default resolution is 1920x1080; other resolutions are added and removed manually. You can also remove and add any positions of video cards. You can also select any of our test processors from the list in the drop-down menu, comparing its performance with the given video card tests (by default, the most productive solution is selected). The test is carried out on the most powerful CPU in this game and is scaled to other processors, taking into account their testing on NVIDIA and AMD video cards.

A comfortable average FPS of 60 frames can be provided by Radeon RX 6600 or GeForce RTX 2060 solutions .

Testing of video memory consumed by the game was carried out by  MSI Afterburner. The indicator was based on results on video cards from AMD and NVIDIA at resolutions of  1920x1080, 2560x1440 and 3840x2160 with various anti-aliasing settings. By default, the graph displays the most current solutions. Other video cards are added and removed from the chart at the request of the reader.

The test was carried out on the basic configuration of Core i 9 13900K with 32 GB DDR5 6400 MHz pre-installed memory. All used RAM was taken as an indicator. The RAM test for the entire system was carried out on various video cards without launching third-party applications (browsers, etc.). In the graphics, you can add and remove any resolutions and video cards as desired.
