THE GRAFICAL PART |
In this subsection of our review, the main graphical aspects of this game are revealed. Particular attention is paid to the version of the graphics engine used, the version of the API used, graphics settings and the quality of the development of the main visual aspects.
SUPPORTED OC AND GRAPHICS API |
Enemies Demo is supported by Windows 10/11.
The priority and primary graphics API for the Enemies Demo is DirectX 12 . Download demo.
GAME ENGINE |
Enemies Demo runs on the Unity game engine. Unity is a 2D and 3D application and game development tool that runs on Windows and OS X operating systems. Applications built with Unity run on Windows, OS X, Windows Phone, Android, Apple iOS, Linux, and game consoles Wii, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One. It is possible to create applications to run in browsers using a special Unity plug-in (Unity Web Player), as well as using the implementation of WebGL technology. Previously, there was experimental implementation support for projects within the Adobe Flash Player module, but later the Unity development team made the difficult decision to drop this.
Applications built with Unity support DirectX and OpenGL. The engine is actively used by both large developers (Blizzard, EA, QuartSoft, Ubisoft) and Indie game developers (for example, Pathologic remake), Kerbal Space Program, Slender: The Eight Pages, Slender: The Arrival, Surgeon Simulator 2013, Baeklyse Apps: Guess the actor, etc.) due to the availability of a free version, user-friendly interface and ease of working with the engine.
The project in Unity is divided into scenes (levels) - separate files containing their game worlds with their own set of objects, scenarios, and settings. Scenes can contain objects (models) as well as empty game objects - objects that do not have a model ("dummy"). Objects, in turn, contain sets of components that scripts interact with. Also, objects have a name (in Unity, two or more objects with the same name are allowed), there can be a tag (label) and a layer on which it should be displayed. So, any object on the stage must have a Transform component - it stores the coordinates of the location, rotation and size of the object along all three axes. Objects with visible geometry also have a Mesh Renderer component by default that makes the object's model visible.
In addition to free, there are four builds - standard Unity, Unity iOS Pro (for developing games for iOS), Android Pro and a team license. They differ in cost and functionality. The free version has some limitations, but it is possible to distribute games, provided that the annual income from the game does not exceed $100,000. With the release of Unity 5, many of the limitations of the Free version have been removed, but the annual income from the game must still not exceed $100,000.
SETTINGS |
Enemies Demo has a wide range of settings, but it does not work correctly on Radeon cards, so for tests of AMD cards, the graphics settings were substituted after NVIDIA video cards.
Below we have provided screenshots of the game at various graphics settings, where our readers can see the difference between the minimum and maximum graphics quality settings.
QUALITY MODES |
TECHNOLOGIES |
The graphics in the Enemies demo are simply gorgeous, no doubt about it. The demo shows next-generation human engine capabilities, improved 4D pipeline, GPU-based skin attachment system to create high-density meshes, more realistic eyes, new skin shader and tension technology for simulating blood flow and wrinkle mapping.
Well, then we will go directly to the gaming tests and determine what impact this game has on modern computer hardware.

Our video cards were tested at resolutions of 1920x1080, 2560x1600, 3840x2160 with ultra graphics quality settings.
The processor test was not carried out, because there is absolutely no point in it - everything rests on the GPU. Alas, the FSR technology did not work on AMD even with the config spoofing, which is why the results are the same (and it probably worked with it, but since the graphical menu does not work on AMD cards, who knows ..). And yes, low FPS at 1920x1080 with DLSS is not a glitch!
For testing the AM5 platform, we used the ROG CROSSHAIR X670E GENE motherboard and the ROG RYUJIN II 360 water cooling system .
The ROG CROSSHAIR X670E GENE Motherboard , made in mATX form factor, brings the power of the ROG series to compact gaming systems. With a powerful power system and heatsinks, it can unlock the full potential of AMD Ryzen 7000 series processors. DIY PC enthusiasts will also appreciate support for modern components and standards, including PCIe 5.0, DDR5 memory, Wi-Fi 6E and USB4 interfaces.

GPU TEST |
In the test of video cards, the default resolution is 1920x1080, other resolutions are added and removed manually. You can also remove and add any positions of video cards. You can also select any of our test processors from the list in the drop-down menu, comparing its performance with the given video card tests (by default, the most productive solution is selected). The test is carried out on the most productive CPU in this game and is scaled to other processors, taking into account their testing on NVIDIA and AMD video cards.
If you are interested in buying a video card from our testing, you can follow the link in its name in the modular graphics and select the model you need.
At a resolution of 1920x1080, an average FPS of 25 frames was shown by video cards of the level Radeon RX 6700 XT or GeForce RTX 3060 Ti . A minimum FPS of at least 25 frames can be provided by video cards of the level Radeon RX 6900 XT or GeForce RTX 4080 .
At a resolution of 2560x1440 , an average FPS of 25 frames was shown by video cards of the level Radeon RX 6800 XT or GeForce RTX 3080 Ti . A minimum FPS of at least 25 frames can be provided by video cards of the GeForce RTX 4090 level .
At a resolution of 3840x2160, an average FPS of 25 frames was shown by video cards of the GeForce RTX 4090 level . A minimum FPS of at least 25 frames can be provided by video cards of the GeForce RTX 40 90 DLSS level .
VIDEO MEMORY CONSUMPTION |
Testing of the video memory consumed by the game was carried out by the MSI Afterburner program. The results on video cards from AMD and NVIDIA at resolutions of 1920x1080, 2560x1440 and 3840x2160 with various anti-aliasing settings were taken as the indicator. By default, the graph displays the most up-to-date solutions. Other graphics cards are added and removed from the chart at the reader's request.
GameGPU
At a resolution of 1920x1080 , the consumption of video memory for video cards with 8 gigabytes is 6 gigabytes , with 12 gigabytes 7 gigabytes , with 16 gigabytes 7 gigabytes with 24 gigabytes 7 gigabytes .
At a resolution of 2560x1440 , video memory consumption for video cards with 8 gigabytes is 7 gigabytes, with 12 gigabytes 8 gigabytes , with 16 gigabytes 8 gigabytes with 24 gigabytes 8 gigabytes .
