Voodoo Rush

Voodoo_Rush
As for Voodoo Rush, its main difference from Voodoo Graphics was that the developers tried to combine it with 2D video cards, along with this, it partially lost some features, and was not as popular as its older counterpart.

This made it possible to produce combined 3D/2D video cards based on Voodoo Rush. The Voodoo Rush chipset, like Voodoo Graphics, consists of two chips: PCfx and Texelfx. The PCfx chip has an interface that allows it to be used in conjunction with 2D chips from other manufacturers. Collaboration with Voodoo Rush is provided in AT3D and AT25 chips from Alliance Semiconductor and ProVidia 9685 from Trident. Due to the hardware features of the new chipset, it became impossible to simultaneously perform some 3D functions, and therefore Voodoo Rush loses in performance to Voodoo Graphics, sometimes by 1.5 times. Video cards based on the Voodoo Rush chipset have 6 MB of video memory - 2 MB frame buffer and 4 MB texture buffer (cards with 4 MB frame buffer are very rare). Supported resolutions are the same as those of Voodoo Graphics. The popularity of Voodoo Rush was much less than that of Voodoo Graphics, and video cards based on this chipset did not receive significant distribution. There are drivers for Voodoo Rush only under Windows 9x. Supported interfaces: Glide and OpenGL via miniport. See the Voodoo Graphics section for more details on the miniport.
