Announcement: Steam Ends Support for Older Windows Versions 7/8 and 8.1

On January 1, 2024, Steam has officially discontinued its support for operating systems Windows 7/8 and Windows 8.1. Users running the Steam client on these OS versions will no longer receive updates, including security updates.

Therefore, all users are strongly advised to transition to more modern operating systems, such as Windows 10 and Windows 11.
