Denuvo anti-piracy protection has been removed from Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia by SEGA

For the first time since 2019, SEGA has made the decision to remove Denuvo's anti-piracy protection from one of its games. This time, the transformation has touched the 2018 game - "Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia". The last time SEGA removed Denuvo from the PC versions of Yakuza.

Along with the removal of Denuvo protection, the company released an update for the game, improving performance and fixing some crashes. Users have noticed that the size of the EXE file has decreased by 159 MB, which confirms the removal of anti-piracy protection.

This event, which happened yesterday, was quite unusual for SEGA, given the rarity of such actions on the part of the company in recent years.
