Baldur's Gate 3" Tops PC Game Revenue in 2023 with Over $650 Million

According to VG Insights, the PC gaming market witnessed nearly a 20% growth last year, as per data from Steam and other sales evaluation sources. "Baldur's Gate 3" emerged as the leader in revenue, raking in a total of $657 million in 2023, making it one of the largest launches on the platform. Following closely were Hogwarts Legacy at second place and Starfield at third.

Starfield's position in the ranking is surprising, considering its availability on Game Pass. According to the report, the game earned $235 million in the year, surpassing titles like Resident Evil 4 and Sons of the Forest.

The unexpected success of "Lethal Company" secured the third spot in terms of copies sold among the top games of the year. The PC gaming landscape saw the release of nearly 14,000 games on Steam in 2023, with around 930 of them generating revenue exceeding $1 million. Despite predictions of a potential decline in 2024, the industry seems robust with no shortage of exciting game titles.
