CD Projekt RED Ends Support for Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 for The Witcher 3

CD Projekt RED has announced the discontinuation of updates for The Witcher 3 on Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1 operating systems, effective from May 17, 2024. This decision aligns with Microsoft's earlier move to stop releasing patches for these systems. However, The Witcher 3 will still be playable on these operating systems, but future updates, if released for newer OS versions, will not be available.

As of now, the exact date when full support for The Witcher 3 will end remains unclear. Additionally, the developers are planning to introduce an official mod editor, though the release date for this feature is yet to be announced.
