Deluxe Edition of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Now Cheaper than Standard Edition Amid Falling Player Counts

In an unexpected move to attract more players, Warner Bros. has slashed the prices of the Deluxe Edition of the highly anticipated game Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. The price cut, offering a 40% discount, has been implemented across multiple platforms. PlayStation 5.

The discount extends to the Xbox store, where the Deluxe Edition can be acquired for $60. Similarly, PC gamers are not left out of this price slash, as Steam now offers both the standard and Deluxe editions at a 40% discount, pricing them at 42 Euros and 60 Euros respectively.

The Deluxe Edition, typically priced higher than the standard version, includes various bonuses such as exclusive weapons and character skins, making this price reduction a significant change from traditional pricing strategies.

This price reduction comes amid a notable decline in player engagement, as indicated by the peak online player count for the PC version of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, which has plummeted to just 507 players. In contrast, older titles in the series, such as Arkham Asylum, still maintain a healthier player base with 848 active users, while Arkham Knight boasts over 3,300 players online.

Warner Bros.'s decision to lower prices could be seen as an effort to boost participation and invigorate the game's community. The success of this strategy remains to be seen as the company aims to rekindle interest in their latest release amidst a competitive gaming landscape.
