"Phantom Liberty" for Cyberpunk 2077: Pre-orders on GOG hint at an imminent expansion announcement

A pre-order page for the Cyberpunk 2077 add-on called "Phantom Liberty" has appeared on the GOG portal, and this may indicate an imminent announcement of the expansion. So far, the release date remains unknown, but the fact that the pre-order page is open indicates the possibility of an imminent announcement.

Users of the subreddit dedicated to the game were the first to notice the appearance of the page. Apparently, it became available a little earlier than planned, and without the ability to actually access the pre-order list. However, despite everything, thanks to the GOG page, we managed to find out a few new details about the add-on. The cost of the expansion for the European market will be €29.99, which implies a similar price of $29.99 for the US.

It is known that the events will unfold in the new area of ​​Night City, known as Godtown. The main role in the expansion will be played by the new character Reed, in the image of which the famous British actor Idris Elba will be embodied. Considering that this expansion will be the most expensive in the history of CDPR, it is expected that the Polish developer will prepare something truly unique and exciting for the players. Rumors speak of a possible release in August this year.

An official release date for "Phantom Liberty" for Cyberpunk 2077 has not yet been announced. However, given that the presentation of the add-on will take place as part of the Summer Game Fest 2023, we can expect an early announcement of the release date on the PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S platforms.
