Excitement among StarCraft fans is mounting with increasing rumors and speculation about a potential revival of the renowned franchise. The rumor mill is abuzz with a possible new StarCraft game being developed by Blizzard Entertainment.

The buzz was ignited by hints dropped by Mike Ybarra, President of Blizzard Entertainment, and Xbox chief Phil Spencer, both expressing interest in working on a new StarCraft title. According to Jez Corden, editor at Windows Central, Blizzard has already been working in some capacity on a new StarCraft universe game for PC and consoles, which could be launched as StarCraft III.

Interestingly, the discussion about a StarCraft series revival began long before the Microsoft acquisition story, suggesting that the new game's release might be independent of the deal's fate.

While it's all speculation at this point, many fans are hoping for an announcement during BlizzCon 2023. Blizzard has stated that they have something to showcase during the event, which is scheduled to take place from November 3rd to 4th.
