Revved Up Expectations, Stalled Reality: Forza Motorsport Falls Flat

Remember the hype surrounding the release of Forza Motorsport? Well, it seems that the engines of excitement have run out of gas. The latest project from Turn 10, intended to be the shining star in the Forza Motorsport series, is more like a damp squib on PC.

According to SteamDB statistics, Forza Motorsport's peak online players haven't even crossed the 5,000 mark. Meanwhile, Forza Horizon 5, the arcade-style racer that hit the scene two years ago, is still revving its engines daily with up to 16,000 players. It's safe to say that things on the Xbox Series aren't looking much better than on PC.

To add insult to injury, Forza Motorsport on PC boasts a "stellar" rating of under 45% from players on Steam. Complaints are flooding in, mainly targeting poor optimization and sluggish performance.

Sure, there are a handful of players who find the game enjoyable. But with Forza Motorsport's online presence resembling a ghost town, it's safe to say this might just be a spectacular wipeout.
