Starfield: System Requirements and Joint Offer from AMD
The eagerly anticipated game Starfield is set to be released on September 6th of this year and will be available for Xbox and PC platforms. One distinctive feature of the game will be its requirement for installation on an SSD, where it will occupy 125 GB.
System requirements for the game, published on the game's page on Steam, point to Ryzen 5 2600X and Ryzen 5 3600X processors, as well as RX 5700 and RX 6800 XT graphics cards. However, AMD on its official website gives preference to the latest models of its processors and graphics cards, which is predictable from a marketing perspective.
AMD has divided its requirements into three categories depending on the quality of graphics that players want to see:
- Heroic Mode (Full HD): Ryzen 5 7600 processor and Radeon RX 7600 graphics card.
- Epic Mode (1440p): Ryzen 7 7700X processor and Radeon RX 6800 Series graphics card.
- Legendary Mode (4K): Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor and Radeon RX 7900 XT graphics card.
AMD has also announced a joint offer, whereby players who purchase selected models of Ryzen 7000 series processors, Radeon RX 7000 and 6000 Series graphics cards, and systems based on them, will get free access to the Starfield game.
In addition, the game will include support for FSR 2 technology at launch and will be optimized for use in multi-threading mode on AMD Ryzen processors.
