The Callisto Protocol Removes Denuvo Over a Year After Launch

The PC version of The Callisto Protocol, released on December 1, 2022, has seen the removal of the Denuvo anti-piracy protection. This development followed a minor update from Striking Distance Studios, leading to a reduction in the game's executable file size by approximately 230 MB. The removal of Denuvo came a year and nearly four months post-launch, with no official statement from the publisher KRAFTON.

The developers behind The Callisto Protocol are now focusing on a smaller project named Project Birdseye and an unannounced major project. This update may indicate a shift in the studio’s focus from supporting the released title to developing new ventures.
