AMD Introduces Affordable Ryzen 5 7500F CPU: A Game-Changer for Budget Builders

Becoming a promising option for budget-conscious consumers, the new Ryzen 5 7500F from AMD is set to go head to head with the Intel Core i5-13400 and i5-13500 in the $200 US segment. Korean outlet QuasarZone suggests that the new AMD chip offers comparable gaming performance to the Ryzen 5 7600 while keeping the total power draw below 70W.

AMD Ryzen 5 7500F

The Ryzen 5 7500F, touted as a cost-effective powerhouse, operates cooler and has a low power consumption - two attractive qualities for those looking to build on a budget. The chip delivers nearly identical performance to the pricier Ryzen 5 7600, offering up to 95% of the performance of the Ryzen 5 7600X.

AMD's budget-friendly Ryzen 5 7500F, while excluding the iGPU feature found in all AMD Ryzen 7000 CPUs, doesn't disappoint the budget gamer. The absence of the Radeon 710M iGPU with 2 compute units shouldn't affect most users since they are likely to rely on a discrete GPU.

Priced at an attractive $179 US, the Ryzen 5 7500F becomes the most affordable Ryzen 7000 AM5 CPU on the market to date. It comes with a bundled Wraith Stealth CPU cooler that perfectly complements its budget design. The chip features 6 Zen 4 cores, 12 threads, 6 MB of L2 cache, and 32 MB of L3 cache, with a base clock of 3.7 GHz and a boost clock of 5.0 GHz. This new offering maintains a 65 Watt TDP design.

AMD's latest Ryzen 5 7500F CPU, which was officially unveiled following earlier leaks this month, is expected to hit retail shelves globally on 24th July. With this launch, AMD successfully debuts its first sub-$200 US AM5 chip, offering incredible value to consumers worldwide.
