The upcoming console is expected to match PlayStation 4 Pro's performance in docked mode thanks to its NVIDIA graphics chip built on Samsung's 8-nm process. Furthermore, the device is speculated to feature 12 GB of RAM.

Contrary to common belief regarding Nintendo's disregard for console power, Moore's Law is Dead highlights that the company does aim for specific performance goals throughout a console's lifecycle. While the Switch 2 might not match the Xbox Series S's performance in aspects like frame rate, it is said to be closely comparable to Microsoft's entry-level system.
