GeForce RTX 4070 Super Sales Commence with Retailers in Europe Already Lowering Prices

Just 24 hours into the launch of the latest GeForce RTX 4070 Super graphics card, retailers in various countries are already taking steps to reduce prices. Despite the official recommended price of $599, some stores, including the major Polish retailer X-Kom, deem it to be on the higher side.

As reported by the portal, X-Kom in Poland has cut prices on certain RTX 4070 Super models from the recommended $740 to $705 (2849 Polish zlotys), offering a discount on the Gainward GeForce RTX 4070 Super Ghost model without factory overclock. It's worth noting that in December, prices for the regular RTX 4070 were also reduced in this store.

Changes are not exclusive to Poland – in Austria and Germany, the recommended prices are also not set in stone. For instance, in Austria, the recommended cost of the graphics card is €659, but the DiTech store is offering the most affordable version of the novelty for €629. In Germany, some stores are also providing discounts on the new graphics card.

While these retailer initiatives may not impact global prices, they do suggest that demand for the card may not be as high as anticipated. Conversely, in the United States, virtual queues have already formed for the cards at the recommended $599.
