Intel Arc A580 8 GB GPU Surfaces in Benchmark Again, Could Potentially Rival RTX 4060 & RX 7600

Rumours are heating up for a possible launch of the Intel Arc A580 8 GB graphics card after the unit surfaced again in a benchmark test, bolstering assumptions of Intel aiming this card to be a contender against GeForce RTX 4060 and Radeon RX 7600.

Intel Arc A580

Such conclusions are drawn on the basis that the Arc A580 showcased performance on par with the RTX 3060, in the Ashes of The Singularity benchmark, scoring an average of 95 FPS on 1080p Minimum settings under Vulkan API. This approximately matches the performance of the RTX 3060, which manages up to 96 FPS in the same test.

The Arc A580 GPU will feature 24 Xe-Cores (3072 ALUs) clocked at 1700 MHz and also 8 GB of GDDR6 memory working across a 256-bit wide bus at a speed of 16 Gbps, providing 512 Gbps of bandwidth. Judging by the specifications and estimated performance, the Intel Arc A580 can still hold an appeal for gamers.

Despite being announced almost a year ago alongside other Xe-HPG series models, the Arc A580 never saw official retail availability. However, Intel could capitalise on this, considering the new drivers have greatly enhanced the performance of the Alchemist GPU architecture.

It is speculated that Intel might launch its refreshed Alchemist+ lineup at some point in the future, possibly with the Arc A580 tagging along.
