Intel's 14th Gen Raptor Lake Refresh Non-K Desktop CPU Specifications and Pricing Leaked

As per the recent leaks, Intel is expected to release its 14th Gen Raptor Lake Refresh Desktop CPUs in October 2023. An unveiling event is planned for 19th September.

According to the leaks by chi11eddog, the 14th Gen CPUs will maintain the same price range as their 13th Gen counterparts. The upcoming CPUs will exhibit the same architecture as Raptor Lake, with Raptor Cove P-Cores and Gracemont E-Cores, along with increased clock speeds. They will also support faster DDR5 memory DIMMs and be compatible with existing LGA 1700 / 1800 Socket motherboards. However, their power consumption will be notably higher, close to 300W.

The lineup will include several SKUs such as Core i9-14900K, Core i7-14700K, Core i5-14600K, and others. Unfortunately, the leaks didn't reveal specifications for any Core i3 SKUs.

Intel's Core i9-14900K CPU, the flagship of the series, will feature 16 cores and 32 threads with up to 36 MB of Smart Cache and a base TDP of 125W. It will have clock speeds of 3.2 GHz base and up to 6.0 GHz with Thermal Velocity Boost.

The Core i7-14700K CPU will use an 8+12 core configuration, offering 20 cores and 28 threads, which is a noticeable upgrade over the existing Core i7-13700K. It will also provide a significant boost to multi-threading performance.

Lastly, the Core i5-14600K CPU will use a 6+8 configuration similar to the Core i5-13600K, contrary to the rumours that suggested an 8+8 configuration.

There are speculations about the introduction of a "KS" variant with potentially higher clock speeds down the road. More details about the 14th Gen CPUs are expected to be revealed in the Innovation event scheduled in September.
