Intel's Upcoming Processors: Prepare Your Wallets for a Sticker Shock!

Just a little over a week away from the likely launch of Intel's new processor series, some stores have already started offering them for sale. Alongside the specs, they've also revealed the prices, and they aren't exactly budget-friendly.

Spanish retailer CoolMod has listed four out of the six upcoming processors in their inventory:

Intel Core i9-14900K 6.0 GHz: €799.96
Intel Core i9-14900KF 6.0 GHz: €779.95
Intel Core i5-14600K 5.3 GHz: €429.95
Intel Core i5-14600KF 5.3 GHz: €389.95

Notably absent from the store's offerings are the Intel Core i7 chips, which have undergone significant changes compared to the previous model.

Comparing the prices of these upcoming chips to the previous generation in the same store reveals a significant price hike. For instance, the i5-14600KF is €88 more expensive than its predecessor. For the top-tier models, the difference is even more substantial. The cost of an Intel Core i9-14900K can reach €160 more than the i9-13900K.
