Intel is set to release its new Panther Lake processors in 2025, promising to double AI performance using the new 18A process node. This was revealed during the Q4 2024 earnings call, where Intel CEO, Pat Gelsinger, discussed the evolution of the Core Ultra platform. Following the Clearwater Forest CPUs, which are already in production and based on the new Darkmont E-Core architecture aimed at cloud data centers with up to 288 cores, Panther Lake processors are next in line.
This year, Intel will also introduce Lunar Lake and Arrow Lake processors, expected to triple AI performance capabilities. Arrow Lake will utilize the 20A node, while Granite Rapids / Sierra Forest Xeon CPUs will adopt Intel 3 in the second half of 2024.
Intel also highlighted the development of its AI accelerators, including Gaudi 3, slated for release this year. Gaudi 3 is anticipated to quadruple performance and double network bandwidth. The development of the new Falcon Shores GPU is also underway.
More details on Intel's processors and their production plans are expected at the IFS Direct Connect 2024 live stream scheduled for February 21st.
