ASUS Sets Price for ROG STRIX GeForce RTX 4060 Ti with 16GB to Match RTX 4070 at $650...

NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 4060 Ti graphics card with 16GB of memory is expected to be priced at $499. But manufacturer ASUS is upping the ante by charging even higher prices for its version of the card, the ROG STRIX.

According to ITHome, the 16GB version of the ROG STRIX GeForce RTX 4060 Ti will cost $650, up 17.5% from the manufacturer's recommended price. This makes the price of the card close to the price of the RTX 4070 model, which makes buying ROG STRIX a very dubious deal.

It's worth noting that ASUS' ROG STRIX cards don't deliver a significant performance boost, making this additional markup even more unjustified.

NVIDIA plans to release the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti on July 18 with a suggested price of $499. The 16 GB version will only be available in custom models. NVIDIA's official benchmarks show only marginal performance gains for the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 16GB. This video card is designed primarily for games at 1080p resolution. Using DLSS for games at 1440p will only marginally improve performance due to more VRAM.
