The new architecture from NVIDIA in the gaming GPU field is expected to debut in 2025

Updates to current Ada Lovelace gaming GPUs shouldn't be expected until 2025, according to NVIDIA's new roadmap. The information was presented during the announcement of the results of ML Commons Training and published by HardwareLuxx .

NVIDIA Next Gen Gaming GPU

NVIDIA currently has the fastest graphics card in the RTX 4090 . Due to the lack of competition in this segment, the company sees no need to release the RTX 4090 Ti. However, the possibility of creating models with a large number of cores and a large amount of VRAM based on AD103, AD104 and AD106 chips is not excluded in the near future. They can be used in either the "Ti" version or the upgraded "SUPER" version. The RTX 4080 uses the stripped-down AD103 chip, and the same applies to the AD106-based GeForce RTX 4060 Ti. These chips could be used in their full version with faster clocks and faster memory modules to create a decent mid-2024 upgrade before the company unveils its brand new architecture for gamers in 2025.

In addition to the GPU lineup, NVIDIA is also planning a Grace Next CPU architecture using Arm cores, which is also expected to be announced in 2025. It also implies that NVIDIA will compete with current and updated Ada Lovelace GPUs against AMD's Radeon RX 8000 branded RDNA 4 graphics cards when they arrive next year. Intel's Battlemage GPU is also expected to be released next year.
