NVIDIA Predicts Recovery of Normal PC Graphics Card Sales Pace in the Second Half of the Year

nvidia ceo jensen huang

News from NVIDIA , as always, is full of promises and optimism. They promise us more games, more features and, of course, more performance. And it seems that we will have to put up with it ... well, or just rejoice with them.

First, NVIDIA's CEO promises that gamers will not be forgotten despite the company's huge growth thanks to AI. It looks like all the benefits that AI brings to the gaming industry will be available to GeForce users as well. After all, as we know, NVIDIA never forgets about its dear gamers!

According to Jon Peddie Research, the outlook for the gaming industry looks bleak, but analysts are still full of hope for a course correction and expect better results in the second half of this year. Maybe by then we'll be playing new games on new graphics cards... or we'll continue to play old games on older graphics cards with new updates.

Jeff Fischer, NVIDIA's senior vice president of gaming, predicts a return to normal PC video card sales in the second half of this year. This will be accompanied by a full rollout of GeForce RTX 40 mainstream graphics cards and a wave of new AAA titles to further boost the platform. Just think, in just a few months we can be back to normal!

NVIDIA recently announced the GeForce RTX 4060 with a starting price of just $299. This new graphics card promises great system improvements on paper, especially in the feature area where the user will get DLSS 3, faster ray tracing capabilities, superior AI-GPU performance, and more. But there is one small nuance - the memory on it is catastrophically small ....

The most important information provided by NVIDIA is that despite a threefold increase in sales of the latest GeForce RTX 40 "Ada" graphics cards, the majority of GeForce gamers are still using non-RTX GPUs. Of the entire GeForce user base, only 44% of users use an RTX GPU, and only 18% of users have a GPU that is faster than the RTX 3060.
