PlayStation 5 Overheating: New Role-Playing Game Final Fantasy XVI Causing Issues for Players

Square Enix's recently released RPG Final Fantasy XVI is becoming a source of concern for some PlayStation 5 owners. According to user reports on Twitter, the game is causing console overheating issues.

For example, TheSphereHunter player is reporting a complete shutdown of his PS5 after an intense boss fight in the game. He also clarified that this happened at a suspiciously high console temperature and recommends that other players make sure their systems are dust-free before playing Final Fantasy XVI.

Similar issues have been reported by another player, JustSlaythe. Unlike the previous case, his console was clean and in a fairly spacious area. However, the overheating occurred precisely when playing FFXVI, which indicates a possible problem with the game itself.

User DavidFulstow has confirmed that dusting the console can help with overheating. Reports of problems were found not only in the full version of the game, but also in its demo version.
