Let's go directly to testing.

border

Dynamic Resolution scaling. It has 2 parameters: "OFF" and "ON". The difference is clearly visible.

Geometry quality. At this point, you can choose between 5 settings:Ultra Low", "Low", "Medium", "High", "Ultra High. Compare "High" and "Ultra High. The difference is barely noticeable, the difference is on the headlights of the car and the grille. We pass to "Medium", slightly "bald" trees catch the eye, by car the differences are minimal. The difference between "Low" and "Medium" is noticeable on the headlights and hood of the car, the environment does not change. When switching to "Ultra Low", the effect of "baldness" of trees is enhanced. The car becomes unrealistic, the headlight model becomes less polygonal.

Surprisingly, footprints in the snow become more pleasing to the eye than on "Ultra High. The difference between "Medium" and "High" was not noticed. When switching to "Low", the traces lose volume. Between "Ultra Low" and "Low", no differences were found.

shadow quality. We have a standard set of settings. Differences between "High" and "Ultra High" - no. When switching to "Medium", the contour of some distant shadows is blurred, near shadows are less detailed. Between "Low" and "Medium", the difference is noticeable on dynamic local shadows. So let's summarize. DiRT 5 is a new take on the legendary racing franchise. The game has good graphics, cool weather effects, high-quality detailing of the car, but small shoals remove all this into the background. This is a great game to just drive on very beautiful tracks with cool music. And nothing else should be asked of her.
