Gothic 2 Set to Release on Nintendo Switch: A Comparison with PC and First 15 Minutes of Gameplay

On November 29th, the highly anticipated release of "Gothic 2" on Nintendo Switch is set to take place. In anticipation of this event, intriguing comparisons between the classic RPG on Switch and PC have emerged, along with a video showcasing the first 15 minutes of gameplay.

The video highlights the impressive capabilities of the PC version of "Gothic 2," running at maximum settings in 4K resolution. Meanwhile, the Switch edition represents a nearly direct port of the original 2002 game with minimal changes.

This marks the second instance of a reissue for Nintendo Switch, following the similar release of the first installment in late September. This suggests that Switch owners may soon get to enjoy "Gothic 3" as well.

Notably, THQ Nordic is currently in the process of developing a full remake of the original game for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. This promises to bring a fresh perspective to all fans of this iconic RPG.
